The New Orleans Saints are a team which has been at the bottom and, more recently, at the top. The Saints were founded as an expansion team back in 1966 and suffered through years of futility on the field until they have found success in the recent years. In fact, in their early history, the New Orleans Saints went more than two decades without a winning season. It was not until 2000 that the Saints managed to win a playoff game. More recently, however, the Saints took home their first championship with a victory over the Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl XLIX. The Saints are a member of the National Football Conference and play their games in the New Orleans Superdome.
The New Orleans Saints memorabilia can be different from that associated with other teams in the league. This is because of the Mardi Gras tradition in New Orleans. Therefore, there are plenty of Saints collectibles associated with Fat Tuesday such as beads and doubloons. Of course, footballs, jerseys or helmets signed by Drew Brees, Mark Ingram, Will Smith or Jonathan Vilma will also deserve a center spot in any collection.
